We don't use Facebook Connect for login; instead, we use it so you can claim comments that you make on other sites that support Facebook Connect.
You can already use your Facebook, Google, OpenID, etc credentials to sign up for BackType using Clickpass.

Disqus is an awesome commenting tool. It has reduced my workload enormously.
