Search Plug-in
Now you can search comments quickly and easily whether you’re on BackType.com or not using our Search Plug-in for Firefox 2+ and Internet Explorer 7.
WebMynd Firefox Extension
BackType Search has been included in the WebMynd Firefox Extension, which allows you to personalize Google search results with the information sources you value most. (more…)
We’ve released another widget that allows you to display search results on your blog or other website. For example, you can show comments that mention your name, company name, products, services and other search terms that interest you and your readers.
We’re really excited to announce that BackType has been added as an official FriendFeed service. It’s great to follow comments written by people you care about on a service like FriendFeed where you can stream 48 services covering blog posts, blog comments, photos, videos, music and more.

BackType Trends is a small web service we launched today that lets you graph mentions of keywords and topics made in millions of comments. We built it to demo our API – which was used exclusively. We’ve featured a group a searches on the front page with a lot of mentions.
For example, here’s a graph of mentions of Obama made in the last two weeks:

Lots of people have discovered BackType through Twitter; in fact, we have our own account @backtype that we like to use to get feedback and help you out when things go wrong.
So we thought Twitter would be a great place to share the comments you write. Now you can visit your account page to setup auto-posting to Twitter in daily or weekly digests. You can also tweet any comment individually – just click the tweet link beneath the comment.
