This is what I need for long, becuase with so many blogs and posts it was now almost impossible for me to trace them out. I have been using a Firefox plug in for this and that add on was never so nice as It worked when it feels like getting some blogs for me only… This sounds more accurate and sophisticated.

Exactly! We will be publishing a blog post soon that shows the difference between BackType search results and other services.

I think businesses should be using every tool that is available to them to track their brand. That includes BackType Alerts, Google Alerts, Twitter/Summize search, Technorati search, FriendFeed search, etc.

Kewl, I look forward to trying this out with highlights like “Second Life”.

@golda: I've a feature suggestion, what about a way to show not just most followers in People, but most comments too — total, and in say, the rolling last 30 days? Would be useful + fun (usefun!) to get a better sense of who's been really active recently. (And obviously, spammers will be chucked out.) Thanx in advance for your consideration!

Yes. With ZapTXT, you have to specify the blogs or feeds you'd like alerts from. BackType gives you alerts from any blog your search term is mentioned on. With BackType, you're only limited by the number of blogs we've added, and we're growing every single day.

Zaptxt has been doing this for a while and sends alerts to IM and mobile. Is there something different here?
